Training

We have been a dedicated and enthusiastic training practice for over 15 years. Our building has recently been extended and has first class facilities including fully equipped training rooms. We have an experienced and approachable clinical and administrative team, including 7 GPs, 4 practice nurses and a healthcare assistant, who work closely to provide the highest standards of patient care and support trainees to achieve extensive clinical experience, comprehensive coverage of the GP curriculum and prepare for life as a GP.

We have on-site access to a number of community services including community midwives, health visitors and counsellors. The district nursing team and community matrons attend our regular clinical meetings.

The registrars can access many online resources from their desktop computer including the Cochrane Library, Clinical Evidence, Prodigy and EMIS Web mentor. GP notebook is a very useful website.

We also accommodate Doctors in training and during the year there may be a foundation year 2 Doctor training at the practice for a short period.

We are always happy to accommodate students enabling them to experience all aspects of primary care.

We now also provide remote training sessions with students from the University of Liverpool.
