Average Home Blood Pressure Calculator

Measuring home blood pressure has become the norm in the NHS since the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence updated its blood pressure management advice in November 2019. Taking blood pressure at home gives us more accurate readings to diagnose and manage your condition, and so means we are less likely to end up over-treating (or under-treating) you.

However, the way the numbers you get end up as a single value in your record isn't straightforward. This page solves that problem for you. Just type in the numbers from the BP recording sheet in the same order, and hit the button at the bottom. This will calculate the average value in the way NICE want it calculated, and you can just tell us that average number. Easy!

If you are interested in how NICE want us to calculate your average, have a look at paragraph 1.2.7 of their guidance.

When you're entering numbers into the table, enter the first one then use the TAB key to move to the next box - this is MUCH easier than using the mouse.
